The Belmont "Streamliner"
This is a 1946 BELMONT 6D111, The Belmont "Streamliner". It is one the most prized iconic art deco radios out there. First made in 1940 as the model 638, it was re-introduced after WW2 in 1946 as the 6D111. This particular one has gotten Third Bay Radio's full restoration and it shows. This is one sharp looking radio now and is ready for use.
Work Done
Case has NO cracks, chips, or hairlines. A Fresh coat of antique Ivory paint was applied. All the resistors and relevant capacitors have been replaced. I new audio transformer was installed to replace the original broken one. The sixth picture down on the right shows the work done. A new polarized power plug and a in line fuse was installed for safety. A high quality electrolytic capacitor can(the blue can) from Radio Daze was also installed. Tubes tested strong and chassis polished to a shine. Dial face is in great shape along with a clear dial shield freshly polished. Original push buttons and knobs to set. Original back with built in antenna intact. Fresh bright gold Belmont logo decal applied correctly. Picture does not show it but decal has gold foil writing to it. A great deal of care and time went into this radio restoring it back to it glory. This one is a real looker.
Good Points on radio
This radio is sharp. Looks great and is highly sensitive. This SIX tube radio picks up a lot of stations through out the entire AM band. The fresh paint job has a good finish to it and does not over power the original antique look to the radio. It looks extremely well cared for. The electronics are solid, the case is in great shape, and the look is iconic art deco. This radio is it.
Bad Points on radio
Original back is aged and worn around mounting holes, check picture. Original factory sticker on bottom is slightly scratched

I stand behind my work and have a 30 day warrantee on labor NOT PARTS. That means if it breaks in 30 days I will do my best to fix it but you pay for new parts and shipping costs. I do NOT think this is even needed. Please keep in mind this is a really old radio and does not sound or act like a modern radio. It is a show piece and should be treated as such.
