Completely restored 1940 Zenith Model 11-S-474 by Thirdbayradios.com. 11 tubes with bright green tuning eye, 3 band Console Radio with great reception and sound. Beautifully refinished cabinet. New copper grille cloth and and new knobs. Chassis has been recapped along with all resistors. Correct original antenna with local and distance switch. The radio plays very well with good reception on AM and SW. Highly receptive, great sounding, and beautiful. No work needed, completely restored. Good Points on radio
An impressive wide casing that grabs the eye in any room. It works as good as it looks. It's dial face is original and just cleaned while the 'patina' was not completely removed from the brass fixture. The case veneer is original and no separation anywhere. It has been refinished to bring out the tone of the wood grain again. The casing does have it's random ding and wave to it but nothing major. This radio looks great but not fake. It's electronics are redone to last another sixty years.
Bad Points on radio
This radio is large. You will need some floor space for a large console. Measures: 43.5"h x 28"w x 15"d It is also heavy. When you go to move it you will need two people. The bright green tuning eye is not as responsive as I would like but it is bright.

I stand behind my work and have a 30 day warrantee on labor NOT PARTS. That means if it breaks in 30 days I will do my best to fix it but you pay for new parts and shipping costs. I do NOT think this is even needed. Please keep in mind this is a really old radio and does not sound or act like a modern radio. It is a show piece and should be treated as such.
